I received a delivery this week – new toys yay! After sculpting the back of ii’s head with my wooden cuticle stick, that random metal flat ended thingamabob and a small dotting tool, I thought I’d invest in a few little tools to make it all a bit easier because I plan on doing a lot of sculpting. I was watching a woman who posts clay sculpting vids on YouTube using the dental tools for finer details on her works.

Amazon had the dental tools and clay sculpting tool sets for a couple of bucks so why not! I’m looking forward to seeing how they go with the next round of sculpting.

I’ve also invested in a seriously large semi transparent grided cutting mat to replace my green one. I want to find some cool Sleep Token images to put underneath them and I can rotate them at my will! I wanted a custom Sleep Token printed cutting mat but can’t find anything so this is my way of making my own. And a pretty good excuse for browsing images of the lads to collate for the mat. yeaaahhhh for the mat… ;}

The only good thing about being up at the asscrack of dawn is the sunrises. It was a stunning misty morning so I just had to share it with you while I’m up early. I can’t sleep again so I’m doing my Sunday reset where I clear and tidy my desk from the chaos of the last week and transcribe any paper notes I’ve made to digital and plan what I want to do in the next week and schedule things out.

It wasn’t too bad this week but just that subtle tidy up and organising stuff for the next week makes everything feel fresh and clean and ready to get the creative energies flowing again.

Lego Jerry will be a future project at some stage. I want to paint him black but I’m debating whether to use a brush and use the brush strokes to mimic a feather texture or to invest and use an airbrush as I’ve some people’s results and it looks like matte black velvet. Or spray paint. Anyway he’s still in design phase and beautifying up my bookshelf in the process. More about the plans for him later.

And purely coincidentally, the cherry blossom next to him was given to me by one of my besties a few birthday’s ago and I just love how well the pink color combo matches the Even in Arcadia flowers! It was meant to be ;}
