oh haaaiii! I’ve just come back from 2 glorious weeks in the snow (Perisher) and do you think I’m all relaxed n stuffs? heck no. My brain did NOT leave me alone for one minute about the little stage I cobbled together before I left so that I have a neat backdrop to film the lads’ grand reveal…

My brain kept churning up new and more grandiose ideas on how to upgrade it and the different things I could do to replicate their actual stage. This is pre-Arcadia because that Download set… holy woaaah… Seriously, I want to make a replica of the Arcadian set but not any time soon as I live in a tiny house with a tiny studio so I just don’t have the room. YET… (⊙ˍ⊙)

Anyway I did compromise and thought of a few minor tweaks that will vastly improve the stage. I made a stop at Bunnings on the way home and picked up a 1m RGB strip light to replace the Christmas lights necklace that I sticky taped to the back of the sigil 😁 The new light strip has a remote control that changes the speed, colour and pattern of the lights so I can have a proper light show! I saw someone on Insta who had a sound sensing light strip that pulsed to the music and I NEED to find one of those as that would make it amazing!

While I was at Bunnings, I also grabbed some of those bathroom grip/anti-slip strips to replace the nitto tape from the previous version of the personal risers. I don’t know why but the thought of putting those strips on my tiny little stage risers cracked me the hell up in the Bunnings aisle. The staff probably thought I was crazy, this mad woman doubled over cackling to herself in the middle of the aisle. Hmmm anyway it looks super effective so I dgaf.

The other thing that I found waaaay too funny was the fact that I only have glitter glue sticks left for my glue gun and they’re the same colours as the light strip! Of course do you think I could find my bloody glue gun? no. Did I tear apart the studio looking for it? yes. I have this horrible feeling that it’s in storage as I’m moving house soon so I’m going to have to borrow one from work tomorrow so now I’m at a stalemate and can’t do anything else dangit!

I have the weekend to myself so I’m going to get the stage in worthy shape and then film some fancy reveals for Insta (and some pics for here of course!). If I can get my act together I’ll post it all on Sunday.

Hey thanks for sticking with me over the last month or so. I realise I haven’t updated you much between being ill and then pfaffing about in the snow for the last week so I appreciate you still being here. But rest assured I’m back in fighting spirit and bursting with ideas! The next project is something I’ve been churning in my head a for a while… all to be revealed soon!
